WHAT INFORMATION DO I COLLECT AND HOW IS IT USED?
The Floured Table collects the minimum amount of information from users posting comments and messages on the site. I will collect a name (either real or alias), personal website, and e-mail address. This information is used to update users on approval and provide responses to the comments they leave.
The Floured Table may use the information collected in the following ways:
- To operate and maintain The Floured Table;
- To create your account, identify you as a user of the website, and customize The Floured Table for your account;
- To send you promotional information, such as newsletters. Email promotion will always provide you information on how to opt-out of future mailings.
- To send you administrative communications, such as administrative emails, confirmation emails, technical notices, updates on policies, or security alerts.
- To respond to your comments or inquiries.
- To provide you with user support.
- To track and measure advertising on The Floured Table website.
- To protect, investigate, and deter against unauthorized or illegal activity.
Cookies and Web Beacons
I may log information using cookies, which are small data files stored on your browser by the Website. I may use both session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which stay on your browser until deleted, to provide you with a more personalized experience.
Types of Cookies Used:
Google Analytics – I use Google Analytics to understand how the website is being used in order to improve the user experience. User data is anonymous and IP addresses are automatically made anonymous by Google Analytics.
Google Remarketing – Google uses these cookies to show relevant adverts to users who have previously visited our website, as they browse other websites. You can opt-out of Google’s remarketing program by changing your Google Ad Settings.
Facebook – Cookies and pixels are used to understand and deliver ads and make them more relevant to you. I may also use a cookie to learn whether someone who saw an ad on Facebook later visited the website.
Affiliate Marketing – The Floured Table sometimes uses affiliate marketing, which is done by embedding tracking links into the Website. If you click on a link for an affiliate partnership, a cookie will be placed on your browser to track sales for purposes of commissions.
The Floured Table participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and links to Amazon.com.
Newsletters – On the website, you may subscribe to the newsletter, which may be used for advertising purposes. All newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. The pixel is embedded in emails and allows an analysis of the success of online marketing campaigns. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an email and which links within the email you click. This also allows the Website to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. This behavior will not be passed on to third parties.
At the bottom of every newsletter will be an easy way to opt-out. I never want you to receive something that you don’t find useful!
SHARING OF CONTACT INFORMATION
None of your contact information (name, email address, website) will be shared with third parties. The Floured Table may use your e-mail address in the future to contact you regarding the site if you have opted in to received communication; I will always provide you with the chance to opt-out. Your name and website may be displayed on the site if you post a comment on a blog post.
